Code of Ethics
What guides us – What connects us
Our Code of Ethics reflects our fundamental attitude toward people and the way we choose to live out NLP and its values. We uphold the principle that every human being has inviolable dignity and the right to freely develop their personality.
This ethical framework applies to all members, each of whom is committed to interacting with others in a respectful and appreciative manner.
1. Attitude
Our interactions are based on acceptance, openness to others’ worlds, peacefulness, and a spirit of reconciliation. This mindset, along with the core assumptions of NLP, forms the foundation for how EANLP members think, act, and communicate.
 2. Responsibility
To be responsible means considering the potential impact of one’s actions, standing by one’s choices, and regularly reflecting on one's behaviour. Our understanding of responsibility centres around three aspects: relationship, competence, and process.
 3. Professional Relationship
EANLP members maintain clear agreements related to goals in coaching, training, education, and consulting. They respect the boundaries of their professional expertise. A professional relationship also excludes any form of physical, psychological, or sexual misconduct, as well as any form of dependency. Respect, appreciation, and empathy are the foundation of all NLP-related work and interaction.
 4. Diversity Principle
EANLP respects all forms of human diversity — ethnic or social background, age, skin colour, language, physical or mental abilities, gender identity, sexual orientation, worldview, and religion. We view this diversity as a source of opportunity and potential.
 5. Scientific Foundation
NLP is more than a toolkit of effective methods. New scientific insights continue to support and expand NLP principles, which are regularly integrated into practice. NLP thus offers a comprehensive framework for personal and professional development through coaching and training.
