NLP Trainer - EANLP
To enroll in this training, participants must hold an NLP Master certificate recognised by the EANLP or similar.
In addition, a minimum of two years of practical experience since the start of the NLP Practitioner training is required.

The NLP Trainer program focuses primarily on developing the ability to teach NLP, with a strong emphasis on presentation skills, group facilitation, and effectively delivering core NLP principles and techniques.
CURRICULUM
Participant Requirements
  • Certificate of completion for NLP-Practitioner and NLP-Master training (EANLP or equivalent)
  • Technical equipment for online participation
Participation Conditions
At least 2 years of NLP experience from the start date of the Practitioner training, or at least 30 months from the start date of the Practitioner training to the date of receiving the NLP-Trainer EANLP certificate.
Trainer Qualification
  • Certified EANLP lead trainer or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Has conducted at least 3 Practitioner and 2 Master trainings
  • Has attended at least one NLP-Trainer’s Training
Trainer Requirements
  • Before the training starts, the training project, as well as informational and promotional materials, must be submitted to EANLP for approval
  • EANLP must also be informed in advance about the qualifications of the participating trainers and the distribution of training hours between them
Duration
  • The required minimum training time is 144 hours or more, including testing, spread across 18 or more training days
  • Supervision is mandatory: After the testing phase, participants must complete 15 hours of individual or group supervision, conducted by a certified NLP lead trainer
    The supervision content involves organising a seminar led by the participant(s)
Implementation
  • The training must be designed and conducted by at least two certified NLP lead trainers, who deliver the training jointly or alternately
  • Recommendation: The two lead trainers should come from different NLP institutes
  • At least 80% of the training must be delivered by a certified NLP lead trainer
  • Up to 20% may be conducted by another person under the supervision of a certified NLP lead trainer (EANLP Master Trainer or equivalent)
  • As a supplementary teaching method, up to one-third of the minimum required training hours may be delivered as synchronous online training
  • Prerequisite for online training: all participants must be continuously present via video and audio, able to see and hear each other and interact freely
Training Group Size
  • A training group must include at least six (6) participants
Assistance
  • Assistant trainers with at least NLP-Trainer EANLP or equivalent certification are recommended for every nine participants and mandatory for every twelve participants
  • In the case of blended or hybrid synchronous online training, assistants must have sufficient digital competence to support the technical setup and intervene in case of technical issues
Trainer Skills and Certification Criteria
  • Advanced rapport skills (building and maintaining rapport with each participant and with the group)
  • Ability to demonstrate and explain techniques and content while maintaining rapport
  • Recognises patterns and uses them constructively
  • Can distinguish and switch between form and content
  • Professional self-management, emotional stability
  • Ability to make decisions and compromises under stress
  • Acts with benevolence and confidence toward participants
  • Provides emotional space for clients and group members, and can support emotionally intense situations
  • Creates a constructive, psychologically safe learning environment
  • Familiar with psychological and neurobiological concepts, and with the fundamentals of brain-friendly learning
  • Applies NLP techniques and methods both explicitly and covertly
  • Has integrated NLP presuppositions to the point they are behaviourally evident in group contexts
  • Works ecologically with individuals and groups, using group dynamics and participant resources
  • Demonstrates competence in group leadership and conflict management
  • Manages content and processes on different logical levels
  • Is familiar with psychological methods and common communication models and can integrate them effectively
 Minimum Content Requirements
  1. Trainer Self-Image and Roles:
    • Intentional expansion of one's model of the world
    • Knowledge and implementation of the EANLP Code of Ethics
  2. Presentation Design:
    • Setting up and closing the frame
    • Formulating and comparing goals and outcomes
    • Styles of information delivery
    • Methodical planning of presentations (considering representational systems, meta-programs, learning strategies)
    • Chunking of information and experience
    • Applying acquired knowledge and skills across contexts and time
  3. Pacing, Rapport, and Leading of individuals and groups at different levels using various methods
  4. Creating a Learning-Conducive Atmosphere
  5. Exercise Design:
    • Defining learning goals
    • Overt and covert learning
    • Integrating and using prior knowledge
    • Differentiating perception from evaluation in group phenomena
    • Sensory-based feedback for group and group processes
    • Flexible adaptation to group abilities
    • Future pacing of learning outcomes
  6. Practical use of visual presentation tools
  7. Optional: Use of digital tools for presentation and facilitation
  8. Metaphorical instructions and pre-framing for processes
  9. Providing multi-level feedback to both individuals and groups
  10. Practising individual and group interventions — planned, proactive, and reactive
  11. Ability to utilise disruptions, criticism, rejection, and problematic behavior constructively
  12. Goal-oriented use of covert communication
  13. Supporting goal-oriented expansion of participants' models of the world
  14. At least two presentations in front of a qualified group of at least 6 participants, each lasting more than 20 minutes, on a pre-determined topic, with feedback from the group and lead trainers
Note: The main focus of the NLP-Trainer training is to develop presentation skills for NLP. Content from the Practitioner or Master cycles may be included but are not considered core parts of the training or final evaluation.
Written Assessment – NLP-Trainer
  • The mandatory written assessment verifies the transfer of minimum content and supports training quality assurance
  • It must especially demonstrate understanding and cognitive integration of the training content
  • The design and content of the written test are at the discretion of the certified lead trainers
  • Participant test materials must be archived for 3 years
  • During this period, the EANLP Certification and Quality Committee has the right to review the archive fully or partially
Practical Assessment – NLP-Trainer
  • The design and content of the practical test are at the discretion of the certified lead trainer and should reflect the life and professional experience of the participants
  • The practical test allows participants to demonstrate congruent behavioural integration of the acquired NLP-Trainer skills
NLP-Trainer Certificate Content
The NLP-Trainer EANLP certificate must include the following details:
  1. Statement of compliance with EANLP standards
  2. EANLP Quality Seal – Trainer
  3. Duration of training in days and hours
  4. Calendar dates of the first and last training day
  5. Signature of the certified NLP lead trainer
  6. Title: Trainer EANLP
