NLP-Basics Curriculum – EANLP
After completing at least 36 hours of NLP training over a minimum of five days, participants may qualify for a basic NLP certification.
The NLP Basics program introduces foundational skills such as consciously establishing rapport, setting clear goals, expanding perceptual awareness, and applying resource-based and ecologically sound methods.
CURRICULUM
Participant Requirements
  • Emotional stability
  • Technical equipment for participating in online training
Duration
  • Mandatory training duration: 36 or more hours of training (excluding breaks longer than 30 minutes), spread over 5 or more training days.
Implementation
  • 80% or more of the training must be delivered by a certified lead NLP trainer.
  • Up to 20% of the training may be delivered by another person under the supervision of a certified lead NLP trainer (EANLP Master Trainer or equivalent).
  • As an additional teaching tool, up to one third of the minimum required training time may be conducted as synchronous online training.
  • A prerequisite for synchronous online training is the continuous participation of all attendees with both video and audio. Everyone must be able to see and hear each other and interact with one another.
Group Size
  • A training group consists of at least three participants.
Assistance
  • Assistance from someone with at least an EANLP NLP-Practitioner qualification (or equivalent) is recommended for every nine participants and mandatory for every twelve participants.
  • If synchronous online training is used as a teaching method in a blended or hybrid format, the assistant must have appropriate digital competence to support technical organisation or to intervene in case of technical failures.
Trainer Qualification
  • Certified EANLP Lead Trainer, DVNLP Lehrtrainer, IANLP Fellow Member Trainer, or equivalent
NLP-Basic Participant Skills and Criteria for Evaluation and Certification
  • Interacts by intentionally building and maintaining rapport, with awareness of both self-perception and the perception of others
  • Differentiates between verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Accesses personal resources and acts ecologically
  • Formulates well-defined goals
Minimum Content / Competencies
  1. Selected NLP axioms
  2. EANLP Code of Ethics
  3. Calibration, Pacing, and Leading
  4. Establishing and maintaining rapport
  5. VAKOG representational systems
  6. Perceptual positions (I associated-dissociated, YOU associated, META)
  7. Defining well-formed outcomes
  8. Introduction to anchoring
  9. Introduction to (neuro)logical levels
  10. Introduction to the Language Meta Model
  11. Appreciative and sensory-based feedback
Certification Criteria
  • Full participation in the NLP-Basic training and behavioural integration of the content
Contents of the NLP-Basic Certificate
The EANLP NLP-Basic certificate must include the following details:
  1. A statement of compliance with EANLP standards
  2. The EANLP quality seal
  3. Duration of the training in days and hours, specifying both online and in-person components
  4. Calendar dates of the first and last training days
  5. Title: NLP-Basic EANLP – specific fields of application (Education, Sports, Health, Business) may be mentioned in the certificate text, but not in the title
  6. Signature of the certified lead NLP trainer
